Bead-embroider Lily of the valley with this Charivna Mit beadwork kit — a slender green leaf shape wrapped around clusters of round white pearls that form the classic bell-shaped blossoms, with a sparkling rhinestone drop at the tip.

Why this kit: the felt pieces create a soft dimensional finish; the templates and stitch guide make the project approachable; the finished ornament or hoop art is easy to display or give as a handmade gift.

Kit includes: instructions, color scheme, Preciosa Ornela beads (Czech Republic) in 10 colors (6 sizes), Crystal Art beads in 2 colors (2 sizes), gimp, rhinestone chain, felt in 1 color, clasp, and a needle (cardboard backing, beading thread, and glue are needed but sold separately). Made in Ukraine.

Bead embroidery is worked by following the color scheme and stitching each bead onto the felt base in the indicated position and shade, building up texture and shine bead by bead, then mounting the piece onto cardboard for a firm base. Once complete, attach the brooch pin to wear or gift.

Finished size: 4.5x8.5 cm (1.77x3.35 in). A graceful beadwork project and a delicate handmade gift for a lover of spring florals.

    Wonderful kit with quality supplies. It is on my list of projects. This flower is the national flower of Finland, so I need to complete this before my next visit.
