It's not that it's bad. It's not that it's false advertising. But in general, when you pay for a cross-stitch kit, you receive all the supplies, including the thread needed to complete the project. ESPECIALLY when you're paying nearly $100 for the project. This was not advertised as a "mini kit." The only way you can confirm that there is, in fact, no thread aside from the metallics is if you look at the kit inclusion in "details." What is there, appears to be good quality. But I've never paid $93 (on sale?) for a mini-kit where you STILL had to purchase the thread after that. And I've purchased pieces every bit as ornate as this one. So either it's disingenuous in its advertising, or it's distinctly overpriced. Be careful when you order, and check everything before you buy, so you know what you're getting.
