This second Japanese Garden kit builds into a larger, darker-toned composition than its counterpart, with a thatched-roof garden pavilion attached to the main two-story house and a flowering cherry branch trailing across the rooftop. Warm light spills from the interior rooms and the attached tea room, while a stone path and lantern lead through the garden below. The deeper wood tones and added pavilion give this version a noticeably more elaborate, higher-complexity build than a single-structure kit.

Why this kit: the attached thatched pavilion is a separate structure not found on the simpler Japanese Garden kit, adding real build complexity; the darker wood-tone palette gives it a more dramatic, evening-lit look once assembled; and the layered roofline across two connected buildings makes for a more ambitious project overall.

Kit includes: pre-cut wooden pieces, fabric swatches, miniature furniture, and finely detailed accessories for the house and pavilion, plus built-in LED lights for a warm, atmospheric glow. Scissors and glue are required to complete the build and are not included. Dimensions: 11.5 x 9.13 x 8.39 inches.

The build proceeds in stages: pre-cut wooden panels are fitted and glued into the shell to form the house and the attached pavilion, fabric and wallpaper pieces are added to dress the interior, the miniature furniture and garden accessories are placed by hand, and the included LED lighting is wired in last to bring the finished scene to life.

Suited to ages 14 and up, this is an ambitious, high-complexity build recommended for experienced miniature crafters looking for a more demanding project.

    The instructions are extremely confusing and poorly designed. When I tried to use the product, I realized that the cutting pages were overlapping on the same sheet, making them completely unusable. I reached out to the seller to explain the issue, hoping for a solution, but instead of acknowledging the mistake, they insisted I was wrong-even though it was clearly a design flaw on their end. I was simply asking for a properly formatted page where both sides could be used, but my request was ignored. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and the product turned out to be a complete waste. I would not recommend it.
