Time Imprint is a nostalgic Chinese street-corner scene built around an old cinema hall, its marquee lettered in Chinese above a red-brick facade, teal-shuttered windows, and a small upstairs balcony room. A cobblestone courtyard below holds a slender tree in red-orange blossom, a grocery stall stacked with jars and baskets, and a bicycle leaning against the wall, while the side panel carries a colorful collage of city imagery framed like a book cover. The overall effect is a single well-worn corner of a city caught at one particular moment, rather than several historical eras layered into one space.

Why this kit: a working cinema-marquee facade gives the build a genuine landmark focal point rather than a generic storefront; the courtyard tree and grocery stall add outdoor detail alongside the interior scene for more visual depth; the illustrated book-cover side panel lets the piece double as a shelf display among real books.

Kit includes: pre-cut wooden pieces to build the cinema facade and courtyard shell, fabric swatches, and miniature furniture and finely detailed accessories, including the grocery stall, bicycle, and balcony furnishings shown. Built-in LED lights are included to illuminate the marquee and window scenes pictured. Scissors and glue are required to complete the build and are not included.

Assembly begins with fitting and gluing the pre-cut wooden panels into the street-corner shell, then adding the brick and signage detailing before the courtyard elements go in. Miniature furniture and accessories, from the grocery stall to the balcony fittings, are placed by hand, and the LED lighting is wired through the structure last so the marquee and windows glow as shown in the finished build.

    Finally got around to building this. It was a great deal of fun and looks beautiful. Well labeled parts, clear instructions. The clay was a little difficult to manage, but in the end, it worked out great.
