Stitch Sunflowers in a Brown Vase, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a bunch of golden sunflowers fills a brown vase against a soft green background.

A little stitcher's folklore: the sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine.

Why this canvas: it comes from Orchidea, the Polish needlework maker founded in 1985 and known for its classic tapestry designs.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 15 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 18×24 cm (7.1×9.4 in). A warm floral piece for a kitchen.

I love sunflowers and was thrilled to find this canvas on Etsy! I'm going to enjoy working this project after choosing the matching thread. Item arrived ahead of schedule and was packaged carefully for shipping.

The canvas was just as described but difficult to find yarn with correct color codes
