Stitch Fisherman, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a fisherman in a straw hat sits on a bundle of reeds, casting his line over shimmering blue water.

A little stitcher's folklore: Leon Wyczółkowski was a Polish painter of the Young Poland movement, known for his series of fishermen.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Leon Wyczółkowski's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 21 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A classic art piece for an angler.
