Stitch Chanterelle, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a golden chanterelle mushroom with frilly gills grows among green grass.

A little stitcher's folklore: chanterelles often smell faintly of apricots.

Why this canvas: you choose the thread, so you can work it in tapestry wool for a traditional look or in cotton floss for a finer finish.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 10 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). A warm autumn piece for a mushroom lover.
