Stitch Sunset Over the Sea, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — waves roll onto a golden beach as the sun sets and a flock of birds flies across the sky.

A little stitcher's folklore: the green flash sometimes seen just as the sun dips below the sea is a real effect of light bending in the air.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 24 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A calm coastal piece for a living room.

My only issue was the canvases were folded not rolled. \nPerhaps that was mentioned and I missed seeing it. \nNo sure it would have made a difference in my purchase or not,
