Stitch Four Seasons Spring, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a wooden windmill and a red-roofed cottage stand on a green hill among pink blossom and grazing sheep under a bright sun.

A little stitcher's folklore: in a post mill, the whole wooden body turns on a single central post to face the wind.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 24 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). One of a set of four seasonal windmill canvases.
