Stitch Four Seasons Winter, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a snow-covered windmill and cottage glow under a starry night sky, with small fir trees in the snow.

A little stitcher's folklore: millers once set the sails in special positions to signal news, such as a wedding, to the village.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 16 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). One of a set of four seasonal windmill canvases.
