Stitch House with Mallows, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — pink and red hollyhocks grow tall beside a white thatched cottage with a wooden window.

A little stitcher's folklore: the first marshmallow sweets were made from the root of the marsh mallow plant.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 26 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A cosy country scene for any room.

This is a really lovely canvas. It helps me imagine what my house and yard could look like. It will be fun to stitch this and get it up on my wall.
