Stitch Charles Bridge in Prague, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — the stone arches of Charles Bridge cross the river beneath Prague Castle and its cathedral at dusk.

A little stitcher's folklore: Charles Bridge was begun in 1357, and legend says egg yolks were mixed into its mortar.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 25 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A classic city scene for a traveller.
