Stitch Still Life with Flowers, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a basket of grapes, pears and garden flowers rests on a stone ledge against a dark background.

A little stitcher's folklore: Jean-Claude Rubellin is a French painter of richly detailed flower and fruit still lifes.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Jean-Claude Rubellin's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 36 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A rich art piece for a dining room.
