Stitch Thatched Cottage in Spring, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a wooden thatched cottage sits by a stream and a small bridge, with fresh green trees and spring flowers in bloom.

A little stitcher's folklore: the first call of the cuckoo has long been taken as the true start of spring in the countryside.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 24 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). A fresh spring scene for a country-style home.
