Stitch Boston Terrier, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a black and white Boston terrier with big dark eyes sits against a bold orange background.

A little stitcher's folklore: the Boston terrier is nicknamed the American Gentleman for its tuxedo-like coat.

Why this canvas: it comes from Orchidea, the Polish needlework maker founded in 1985 and known for its classic tapestry designs.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 9 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). A fun gift for a dog lover.

Cute and Quick
Stitches up fast as it’s a small piece but what a cute dog. I am using 6 strands of floss and decided to make the background blue instead of orange but even with loose stitches I can still see the orange. In hind site I should have just went with orange. Thats on me though. I enjoyed working on this little fella!
