Stitch Cottage, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a thatched cottage with green shutters sits behind a flower garden and a blossoming tree, with a path to the door.

A little stitcher's folklore: the cottage garden style, full of mixed flowers and vegetables, grew up in English villages centuries ago.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 25 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 18×24 cm (7.1×9.4 in). A cosy country scene for any room.
