Stitch Sunset in Fundy Bay, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a tall sailing ship glides across calm water under a blazing orange sunset.

A little stitcher's folklore: the Bay of Fundy in Canada has the highest tides in the world, rising as much as 16 metres.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of William Bradford's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 17 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A classic art piece for a sailor's home.
