Stitch Punting on the River, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a woman stands in a punt among the reeds of a quiet river as a companion relaxes in the boat.

A little stitcher's folklore: Alfred Glendening Jr was an English painter of Victorian river scenes and the son of the landscape painter Alfred Glendening.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Alfred Glendening Jr's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 29 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×70 cm (15.7×27.6 in). A summery art piece for a living room.
