Stitch Ducks in a River, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a mallard pair and their ducklings gather at the edge of a river under an old tree.

A little stitcher's folklore: Jacob Bogdani was a Hungarian-born painter who worked in London around 1700, famous for his birds.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Jacob Bogdani's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 29 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A classic art piece for a country home.
