Stitch Orchid, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — white orchid flowers with pink centres arch on a green stem, framed by a thin line on a black background.

A little stitcher's folklore: there are more than 25,000 kinds of orchid, one of the largest plant families on Earth.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 12 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 18×24 cm (7.1×9.4 in). An elegant floral piece for a modern room.

    14 count easy canvas to work. No specific guidance as to where the DMV thread colors should be used but color key on canvas easy to determine which colors to use.\nGood if you're already a needlepointer
