A little stitcher's folklore: Friedrich Gauermann was an Austrian painter of the 1800s, famous for his wildlife and Alpine scenes.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Friedrich Gauermann's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 24 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 18×24 cm (7.1×9.4 in). A classic art piece for a country home.
