Stitch Farm Rooster Chickens, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a proud rooster and hens gather around an old cart in front of a timber-framed farmhouse.

A little stitcher's folklore: Carl Jutz was a German painter of the 1800s, famous for his lively poultry scenes.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Carl Jutz's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 30 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A charming art piece for a country kitchen.
