Stitch Cats and Flowers, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — kittens tumble out of a basket of roses on a garden bench while their mother watches.

A little stitcher's folklore: Carl Reichert was an Austrian painter, best loved for his playful dogs and cats.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Carl Reichert's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 31 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A playful art piece for a cat lover.

This will be my 2nd ever needlepoint, using the leftovers from a very complex and huge project. After that project where the print on the canvas is soo weak and has made it a mess to work with, this one is bright and clear with edges I can see and clear color examples. It will be a pleasure to do, even though my cats will have to be brown and golden. Arrived very quickly and shipped well and exactly as promised. Would have been a much better first project to be sure!

I'm really excited to work on this soon! It helps it lists the colored floss that didn't come with. Plus, needlework was on a great deal!
