Stitch Innocence, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a young mother in a white veil holds her baby and a white lamb close in a woodland glade.

A little stitcher's folklore: William-Adolphe Bouguereau was a French painter famous for the smooth, lifelike finish of his figures.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of William-Adolphe Bouguereau's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 23 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×70 cm (15.7×27.6 in). A gentle masterpiece for a bedroom.
