Stitch Still Life with Flowers in a Vase, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — blue cornflowers, daisies and grasses fill a white porcelain jug painted with little flowers.

A little stitcher's folklore: Alexander Makovsky came from a famous family of Russian painters; his father Vladimir was also an artist.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 23 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 24×30 cm (9.4×11.8 in). A fresh art piece for a sunny room.
