Stitch Still Life with Lobster, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a red lobster, peaches, grapes and a blue and white Chinese porcelain jug lie on a draped table.

A little stitcher's folklore: Laurens Craen was a Dutch Golden Age painter of lavish banquet still lifes.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Laurens Craen's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 27 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A rich art piece for a dining room.
