Stitch Irises, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — purple, lilac and yellow irises rise from a tall glass vase, with a sprig of pink roses at its foot.

A little stitcher's folklore: Paul de Longpré was nicknamed the King of Flowers and made his home in Hollywood.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Paul de Longpré's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 29 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 40×60 cm (15.7×23.6 in). A graceful art piece for a hallway.
