Stitch Apple Blossom, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — pale pink apple blossom opens along a branch against a dramatic black background.

A little stitcher's folklore: apple blossom is the state flower of both Michigan and Arkansas.

Why this canvas: it comes from Orchidea, the Polish needlework maker founded in 1985 and known for its classic tapestry designs.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 16 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). A striking floral piece for a modern room.
