Stitch Roses in a Basket, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — pink, red and cream roses overflow a wicker basket on a dark background.

A little stitcher's folklore: Henri Biva was a French painter who exhibited his flower pieces and landscapes at the Paris Salon.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Henri Biva's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 49 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A romantic art piece for a bedroom.
