A little stitcher's folklore: Eugène Rémy Maes was a Belgian painter who specialised in hens, chicks and farmyard birds.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Eugène Rémy Maes's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 55 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A classic farmyard piece for a country kitchen.
