Stitch Summer Flowers, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a glass vase of white blossoms and green leaves stands beside purple sweet peas on a pale background.

A little stitcher's folklore: Paul de Longpré was a French painter who settled in Hollywood and was known as the King of Flowers.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Paul de Longpré's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 40 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A fresh art piece for a sunny room.
