Stitch Winter Landscape with a River, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a snowy village glows under a full moon beside a winding frozen river.

A little stitcher's folklore: the Vistula, Poland's longest river, flows more than 1,000 km from the mountains to the Baltic Sea.

Why this canvas: you choose the thread, so you can work it in tapestry wool for a traditional look or in cotton floss for a finer finish.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 6 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 18×24 cm (7.1×9.4 in). A calm winter scene for the festive season.
