Stitch Poppies, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — red and pink poppies bloom thickly among green leaves against a dark background.

A little stitcher's folklore: John Singer Sargent is best known for his society portraits, but he loved painting gardens and flowers.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of John Singer Sargent's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 23 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 40×60 cm (15.7×23.6 in). A bold art piece for a living room.

I received my beautiful, full box of canvases today. That was remarkably fast and so well organized. Not to mention the great prices offered. This should keep my fingers busy for a while.
