Stitch Still Life with Roses, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — pink roses and petals lie scattered across old sheet music.

A little stitcher's folklore: Madeleine Lemaire was a Parisian flower painter whose famous salon was visited by Marcel Proust.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Madeleine Jeanne Lemaire's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 19 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A romantic art piece for a music lover.
