Stitch It's Already Spring!, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — three yellow ducklings sit among purple crocuses and daisies, with a cottage and trees behind.

A little stitcher's folklore: crocuses are among the first flowers to open in spring, often pushing up through the snow.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 24×24 cm (9.4×9.4 in). A cheerful spring piece for a nursery.
