A little stitcher's folklore: tulips first came to Europe from the Ottoman Empire in the 1500s.

Why this kit: pre-cut acrylic yarn bundles and a printed Zweigart canvas mean there is nothing to count, just hook each strand over its colour.

Kit includes: Zweigart canvas printed with the design (4.5-count), 100% acrylic pre-cut yarn in bundles in 14 colours, a latch hook tool, a chart and instructions. Technique: latch hook. Backing and fixings are not included.

Knot each pre-cut strand onto the printed canvas with the latch hook, working row by row from the bottom so the pile lies neatly.

Finished size: 50×74.5 cm (19.7×29.3 in). A bold rug for a living room.
