Stitch Winter Night, a cross stitch card kit by Orchidea — a snowy cottage and dark fir trees sleep under a crescent moon in the oval window of the card.
A little stitcher's folklore: the longest night of the year falls on the winter solstice, around 21 December.
Why this kit: a small, quick project that turns into a personal greeting card, with everything including the envelope in the box.
Kit includes: Zweigart aida printed with the design, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 9 colours, a blank card, an envelope, a chart, instructions and a needle. Stitch used: cross stitch. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.
Stitch the design from the centre, then mount the finished piece in the card and add your message.
Finished size: 10.5×15 cm (4.1×5.9 in). A peaceful handmade card for Christmas.
