Stitch Winter Night, a cross stitch card kit by Orchidea — a snowy cottage and fir trees glow under a pink winter sunset in the oval window of the card.
A little stitcher's folklore: low winter sun shines through more of the atmosphere, which is why winter sunsets often look so pink.
Why this kit: the design fits a ready-made card with an aperture, so your stitching becomes a handmade card that can be kept and framed later.
Kit includes: Zweigart aida printed with the design, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 11 colours, a blank card, an envelope, a chart, instructions and a needle. Stitch used: cross stitch. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.
Stitch the design from the centre, then mount the finished piece in the card and add your message.
Finished size: 10.5×15 cm (4.1×5.9 in). A warm handmade card for Christmas.
