Stitch Winter, a cross stitch card kit by Orchidea — a child in a red coat pulls a Christmas tree on a sledge towards snowy houses, a dog trotting alongside.
A little stitcher's folklore: Christmas trees were first brought indoors in Germany in the 1500s.
Why this kit: the design fits a ready-made card with an aperture, so your stitching becomes a handmade card that can be kept and framed later.
Kit includes: Zweigart aida, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 20 colours, an embellished blank card, an envelope, a chart, instructions and a needle. Stitch used: cross stitch. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.
Stitch the design from the centre, then mount the finished piece in the card and add your message.
Finished size: 10.5×15 cm (4.1×5.9 in). A nostalgic handmade card for Christmas.
