Stitch Blue Tits, a cross stitch card kit by Orchidea — two blue tits perch on a mistletoe branch above a snowy valley.
A little stitcher's folklore: mistletoe is spread by birds that wipe its sticky seeds onto branches.
Why this kit: the design fits a ready-made card with an aperture, so your stitching becomes a handmade card that can be kept and framed later.
Kit includes: Zweigart aida, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 24 colours, an embellished blank card, an envelope, a chart, instructions and a needle. Stitch used: cross stitch. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.
Stitch the design from the centre, then mount the finished piece in the card and add your message.
Finished size: 10.5×15 cm (4.1×5.9 in). A pretty handmade card for Christmas.
