Stitch Cardinal, a cross stitch card kit by Orchidea — a red cardinal perches on a fir branch hung with red baubles.
A little stitcher's folklore: the northern cardinal is the state bird of seven US states.
Why this kit: a small, quick project that turns into a personal greeting card, with everything including the envelope in the box.
Kit includes: grey Zweigart aida, Ariadna 6-strand cotton floss in 10 colours, a blank card, an envelope, a chart, instructions and a needle. Stitch used: cross stitch. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.
Stitch the design from the centre, then mount the finished piece in the card and add your message.
Finished size: 10.5×15 cm (4.1×5.9 in). A festive handmade card for Christmas.
