Stitch Christmas Time, a plastic canvas cross stitch kit by Orchidea — a present with a bow, a Christmas tree, a wreath with a birdhouse and a candle among fir sprigs.
A little stitcher's folklore: lit candles at Christmas recall Christ as the light of the world.
Why this kit: stitching on white plastic canvas means no hoop and no finishing, and each piece keeps its shape, ready to hang.
Kit includes: white plastic canvas, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 13 colours, a chart, instructions and a needle to make four ornaments. Stitch used: cross stitch. No hoop or frame is needed, as plastic canvas holds its shape.
Stitch each design on the plastic canvas, then trim around the edge and add a loop of thread for hanging.
The four ornaments measure 7×13.5, 9×9.5, 8×11 and 9×12 cm (2.8×5.3, 3.5×3.7, 3.1×4.3 and 3.5×4.7 in). Classic decorations for the Christmas tree.
