Stitch Winter Stars, a plastic canvas cross stitch kit by Orchidea — four blue star ornaments show snowy cottages and churches under a night sky.
A little stitcher's folklore: the Star of Bethlehem is said to have guided the Wise Men to the stable.
Why this kit: quick designs on stiff plastic canvas that you can cut out and hang straight away, perfect for decorating or giving.
Kit includes: white plastic canvas, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 14 colours, a chart, instructions and a needle to make four ornaments. Stitch used: cross stitch. No hoop or frame is needed, as plastic canvas holds its shape.
Stitch each design on the plastic canvas, then trim around the edge and add a loop of thread for hanging.
Each ornament measures about 10×10 cm (3.9×3.9 in). Pretty decorations for the Christmas tree.
