Stitch Christmas Cats, a plastic canvas cross stitch kit by Orchidea — four cheerful cats, one in antlers, one in a Santa hat, one in a jumper and one beside a Christmas tree.
A little stitcher's folklore: cats have lived alongside people for nearly 10,000 years.
Why this kit: stitching on white plastic canvas means no hoop and no finishing, and each piece keeps its shape, ready to hang.
Kit includes: white plastic canvas, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 15 colours, a chart, instructions and a needle to make four ornaments. Stitch used: cross stitch. No hoop or frame is needed, as plastic canvas holds its shape.
Stitch each design on the plastic canvas, then trim around the edge and add a loop of thread for hanging.
Each ornament measures about 9×11 cm (3.5×4.3 in). Fun decorations for a cat lover's tree.
