Stitch Winter Jar, a counted cross stitch kit by Orchidea — a glass jar holding a snowy landscape with a cottage and a bare tree, holly on the lid and a robin beside it.
A little stitcher's folklore: holly was brought indoors in winter to bring good luck and keep evil spirits away.
Why this kit: a counted design on quality aida with pre-sorted floss, sized to frame as a small picture.
Kit includes: cream aida, 6-strand cotton floss in 22 colours, a chart, instructions and a needle. Stitch used: cross stitch. A frame is not included.
Find the centre of the aida and the chart, then stitch the design outwards one colour at a time.
Finished size: 19×21 cm (7.5×8.3 in). A cosy picture for the winter season.
