Bead Bast, a bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — an elegant seated cat worked in white, pearl and gold filigree, inspired by the Egyptian goddess Bastet, sits proudly before a radiant golden sun halo that fills the canvas with warm light. Worked with over 11,000 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads.

A little stitcher's folklore: Bastet was the Egyptian goddess of home, joy and protection, and families kept cats to bring her blessing into the house. Stitchers say a golden Bastet on the wall guards the home and fills it with happiness.

Why this kit: if you love cats and elegant, luminous designs, this large piece is a true showstopper. A rewarding project for confident beginners and experienced beaders, and a perfect gift for cat lovers and fans of ancient Egypt.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the design, over 11,000 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads, a Japanese beading needle, a numbered key chart, and instructions in 8 languages. Beading thread, frame and hoop are not included.

Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Bead the cat's filigree first, then the golden sun halo and background.

Finished size: 31×47 cm (12.2×18.5 in). Statement wall art and a gift for cat lovers.

I haven't done beaded embroidery before and am looking forward to trying it. All my transactions with the seller have been seamless.
