Bead a modern abstract bloom with Aquamarine, a bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — a flower of fine, flowing teal and aqua strands bursting from a sparkling centre, over a background of grey ink-wash swirls. Worked with nearly 5,900 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 19 colours, plus microbeads and decorative glass stones.
A little stitcher's folklore: aquamarine was the sailor's stone, carried for calm seas and safe voyages, and said to bring peace and clear thinking. Stitchers say an aquamarine flower brings a calm, fresh feeling to any room.
Why this kit: if you love contemporary, gallery-style art, this abstract flower looks like nothing else on your wall. It's a satisfying project for beaders with some experience. A stylish gift for modern homes.
Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the design, nearly 5,900 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 19 colours plus microbeads and decorative rondelle glass stones, a beading needle, and instructions. Beading thread, frame and hoop are not included.
Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Bead the sparkling centre first, then the flowing petals.
Finished size: 28×35 cm (11.02×13.78 in). Modern wall art and a stylish gift.
