Bead a wise elephant with Sage Gaze, a bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — a front-facing elephant portrait with sweeping tusks and a raised trunk, its head covered in ornate patterns of silver, sapphire blue and bronze, against a dark canvas. Worked with over 11,500 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 23 colours.
A little stitcher's folklore: elephants are symbols of wisdom, memory and good fortune — "an elephant never forgets" — and one with its trunk raised is said to shower luck on the home. Stitchers say this wise one watches over the family and remembers every good thing.
Why this kit: if you love dramatic, ornamental art, this elephant is a true showpiece with incredible detail. It's a big, rewarding project for beaders with some experience. A meaningful good-luck gift.
Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the design, over 11,500 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 23 colours, a Japanese beading needle, a numbered key chart, and instructions in 8 languages. Beading thread, frame and hoop are not included.
Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Bead the eyes and face first, then the ornamental patterns and tusks.
Finished size: 30×43 cm (11.81×16.93 in). Statement wall art and a lucky gift.
