Bead Under the Viburnum, a bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — goldfinches with red faces and yellow wings dart among bright autumn leaves in red, orange, gold and plum, above a band of frosty white foliage. Worked with over 7,290 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads.

A little stitcher's folklore: viburnum (kalyna) is one of Ukraine's most beloved symbols, of home, family and love, and goldfinches were said to bring joy and good health. Stitchers say birds under the viburnum keep a family close and cheerful.

Why this kit: if you love birds and autumn colour, this design glows like a stained-glass window. A satisfying project for confident beginners and experienced beaders, and a lovely gift for birdwatchers.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the design, over 7,290 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads, a Japanese beading needle, a numbered key chart, and instructions in 8 languages. Beading thread, frame and hoop are not included.

Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Bead the goldfinches first, then the autumn leaves and frosty foliage.

Finished size: 26×23 cm (10.24×9.06 in). Colourful autumn wall art and a thoughtful gift.
