Christmas Advent Calendar Bead Embroidery Kit by Abris Art AB-978

Bead Christmas Advent, a beaded advent calendar kit by Abris Art — a tall green panel topped with red "Merry Christmas" lettering, with 24 numbered pockets, each beaded with its own holiday motif: Santa, gnomes, a snowman, a cardinal, a red truck, a gingerbread house and more. Worked with over 10,720 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 17 colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: the advent calendar began in 19th-century Germany, when families marked the days to Christmas with chalk lines or candles. Stitchers say an advent calendar made by hand fills every December day with anticipation and joy.

Why this kit: if you want a true family heirloom, this beaded calendar is one you'll hang every year, filling the pockets with sweets, tiny gifts or notes. A large, rewarding project for experienced beaders and ambitious beginners — start early!

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the design and built with 24 pockets, over 10,720 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 17 colours, Japanese beading needles, beading thread, and instructions with a printed colour key.

Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Bead one pocket motif at a time, then the numbers and "Merry Christmas" lettering.

Finished size: 30×85 cm (11.81×33.46 in). A handmade family advent calendar.
